Fragmented bodies form around openings, making emptiness perceptible through edge, weight and material presence.
CONCEPT
The series began with industrial material whose original pouring openings suggested the hole as a sculptural subject. What had been a functional void became the centre around which each object formed.
Fragmented surfaces and irregular contours give the objects a geological-organic appearance. They seem simultaneously found and constructed, complete and broken away from a larger body.
The hole is not treated as missing matter. Its boundary gives the void shape and volume, allowing absence to appear as an active physical presence.
