TEXTSCAPES
The complete contents of a newspaper issue are transformed from an ordered sequence of information into a material landscape.

CONCEPT
Each relief uses the complete contents of one international daily newspaper from a single date. The pages are torn, sorted and partly processed into papier-mâché. Images recede into the ground while fragments of text return to the surface.
The original editorial hierarchy is dismantled. What began as a linear sequence of news becomes a topography of ridges, depressions and thresholds: at once archive, landscape and material memory of a particular day.
Textscapes examines the difference between information and knowledge. Information appears as an open and cumulative field; knowledge forms through resistance, interruption and connection. Reading shifts from succession to spatial encounter.
