LANGUAGE
AS MATERIAL
Through coding, condensation, overwriting and erasure, language becomes line, surface and landscape. Reading gives way to a physical encounter with traces of writing.
LITERARY
FROTTAGE
Horizontal pencil lines are drawn across an irregular paper surface. Their varying pressure, density and spacing evoke a text that can no longer be read. Language persists as rhythm, resistance and trace.

DRAWINGS
Travel writing and spoken rhythm are translated into suspended, seismographic lines. The artist establishes the conditions; movement and gravity determine the trace.

One layer remains present inside another without being fully recoverable.

The disappearance of words produces a new material presence.
